Office Policies
Financial Policies
Please be aware that the parent and/or legal guardian bringing the child to our office is responsible for payment of all charges. For the convenience of our patients, we accept cash, debit, MasterCard or VISA. Personal cheques are not accepted.
Our office does not accept automatic payment from your insurance company. However, our team will assist you by providing the appropriate forms, and filing your dental claims electronically. Our goal is to help maximize your reimbursement as quickly as possible.
Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget, and gives your child the best possible care.
Please note, the Ontario Dental Association suggested fee guide is not obligatory and each practitioner is expected to determine independently the fees which will be charged for the services performed. The ODA Fee Guide is issued merely for professional information purposes, without any intention or expectation whatsoever that a practitioner will adopt the suggested fees.
Financing is available for certain procedures. We offer several convenient payment plans, which include the following options:
- Monthly Automatic Credit Card Charge (Visa or MasterCard)
- 0% Interest Charges
- No Down Payments
During your first visit we will review all the financing options available to you.
Appointment Policies
New patients are welcome and we truly appreciate referrals, however NO REFERRAL IS NECESSARY to book an appointment at our office.
Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to attend, otherwise a $75 cancellation fee will apply. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.
We strive to see all patients on time for their scheduled appointment. However, there are times when our schedule is delayed in order to accommodate an injured child or an emergency. Please accept our apology in advance should this occur during your appointment.
Ideally, please plan to arrive 10 minutes or more before your scheduled appointment. This will allow your child to be seen on time, as well the completion of any additional paperwork.
A parent or legal guardian MUST be present during the first visit in order to sign all legal documents and consent to treatment.
Emergency Appointments: Priority will be given to patients experiencing discomfort. To maintain our on-time schedule, we request that you always call ahead for an emergency appointment. During office hours, we make every attempt to see emergencies that day, but ask patients to be as flexible as possible as we work them into the schedule.
Can I Stay with my Child
We invite you to stay with your child during treatment. We want every child to feel as comfortable as possible and sometimes having mom or dad nearby can be a great help. However, in case of behavioural challenges, parents may be asked to leave the room. Parents will still be able to view the procedure, but remaining out of the child’s line of vision can be helpful in some cases. Unless otherwise arranged, please do not leave the premises when your child is receiving treatment. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the waiting room with a supervising adult.

Our office understands the importance of protecting your personal information. Please be assured that the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information will be done in accordance with the Ontario Personal Health Information Protection Act. Thank you for your support and understanding in helping our office comply with all regulatory requirements.
