Dr. Leith Maal-Bared

Dr. Leith obtained his D.M.D. ( Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from the University of British Columbia and completed his pediatric dentistry specialty training in Boston University. During his residency, he worked at Franciscan Children’s Hospital with a focus on Special Needs children. His research project “Caries Recurrence In Children After Undergoing Oral Rehabilitation Under General Anesthesia” was awarded best research for his Boston University graduating class. Before moving back to Toronto, he practiced dentistry in the public health units in North Bay and Gravenhurst.

Dr. Leith’s aim is to make dental visits more pleasant for children and parents alike. He believes that good dental hygiene and a healthy diet are the cornerstone of a healthy dentition and if the child has a good foundation in oral health that they would be more likely to have healthy teeth well into adulthood.

Dr. Leith offers dental services utilizing nitrous oxide ( laughing gas) and oral sedation as well as non-sedation dentistry.

During his off time, Dr. Leith enjoys playing the guitar, ukulele and keyboard. He likes traveling, reading, soccer and yoga.
